MEMBERSHIP DUES The
dues for primary care physicians are $1500 per year and $2000
per year for specialist. SGPA's economies of scale savings will
more than pay for annual dues for each physician. These savings
are made available through discounts in malpractice insurance,
officers and directors insurance, property insurance, and
disability insurance. SGPA is building a purchasing co-op for
its' member use. Through negotiations with Health Care
Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of Mag Mutual, the SGPA can offer
state of the art billing and collection services, dictation
services, financial planning and much more at tremendous savings
for SGPA members. |
BENEFITS OF SGPA The
most obvious benefit to joining the SGPA is group contracting
for managed care. SGPA has secured over 20 statewide and direct
contracts that cover over 3 million lives throughout Georgia.
Many of the covered lives are in the rural areas that go under
served because the networks and their payers look to the larger
markets to contract. In doing so, these networks encourage your
patients to leave their community for the same health care
services that are available to them locally. Through
participation in SGPA contracts, physicians are assured they can
never be removed as a provider from a health care network
without the approval of the SGPA Board of Directors.
